Message from Kari Thompson:

I was wondering if there are any Summit Players that the ND State Special Olympics could use for their volleyball event. It will be in Fargo on May 31st and June 1st and we are looking for volunteers for the volleyball tournament on the 31st.

Right now we are in the process of signing up volunteers... the event will be all day, 8am-5pm approximately It will be at Davies and Shanley... looking for volunteers to help with lots of things!

All day volunteers will receive a t-shirt and a lunch.
Volunteer opportunities include: officiating, score, line judge, team hosts, logistics/crowd control, awards and a games/division committee.

We are looking to make this a great event for the athletes and really have an amazing tournament atmosphere!! We are fortunate to play in great tournaments that really highlight the athletes and their accomplishments and want to do the same for Special Olympics ND!

NEW! Social Media Policy [4/25/13]
In light of our constantly changing technological environment, specifically the advancement of social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) we felt the need to establish a club-wide Social Media Policy:

Any "negative" or "inappropriate" post or communication that involves a teammate, a coach, a parent, another Summit player, a board member, or anyone else related to Summit, including an opposing team, coach, referee or player, will be dealt with based on the severity of the offense. The discipline will be decided upon by the Summit Board and the player's coach and will range from the offender being suspended from a tournament to full and permanent dismissal from the Summit program.
